I was born with a sweet tooth and raised in a family where baking was a cherished tradition passed down through generations. As a third-generation wedding cake baker, my love for cakes started early — I baked my very first cupcakes at just nine years old.

Although I experimented with recipes as a hobby for many years, baking was always close to my heart. Home Economics was my favourite subject at school, and after matric I studied Hotel Management. Life later led me into the corporate world, and I spent 12 years in finance — but the pull back to baking never faded.

Everything changed when my son turned six and his cake baker retired. I decided to make his birthday cake myself, and in that moment I remembered how much joy baking brings me. What started as cakes for family and friends soon grew into cakes for friends of friends… and then it became something bigger than I ever imagined.

That was 16 years ago, and it eventually inspired me to take a leap of faith: I left my job and committed to Cake Love full time.

Today, I’m still learning, still exploring, and still challenging myself with every order. I follow international trends, take online courses, and experiment with new techniques so I can offer my clients cakes that feel modern, elegant, and truly special. I never want to stop learning — and I genuinely enjoy every moment of creating something new.
